One gets to observe a smaller number of laps in two weeks at the Isle of Man TT than a single day at a short circuit race weekend. This was a distinction that I was completely unaware of while heading to the world-famous road race for the very first time. As the fortnight progressed and the reality of that discovery set in, I grew less and less willing to experiment and instead attempted to focus on “safer” compositions. This image of Ian Hutchinson turned out to be one of my favorites, which was from my second day on the island when I was still somewhat blissfully unaware of what I was doing. Sometimes it’s better that way.
